Thinking out loud.

Another summer has come and again changes had been done.

I know it is a long time without posting and I'm sorry for that but trust me, I've been very very VERY busy.

While I’m writing this I’m still in London, but in the next few days I will move back to Deal, and as it is said: ‘There is nothing like home.’ Living in London has been a great experience, but as you know, everything has a dark side, and also St. John’s Gate does. It is not that I don’t want to publish anymore, but some recent events have convinced me to go back home. It is a bit sad this thing of leaving Mr. Cave and Mr. Johnson but I can’t help it. I will continue publishing in the Gentleman’s Magazine once a while, but not as usual as I did until this very moment. I think my time here has ended and the thing is that I haven’t reached my goals of succeeding as I wanted to here in London.

Well, let’s keep you updated: my Algarotti’s translation has been published this May under the name of Sir Isaac Newton’s Philosophy Explain’d for the Use of Ladies, in Six Dialogues on Light and Colours. As usual, opinions are always welcome.

I also have to tell you that before going back to Deal I’ve made a trip to Oxford, which I did not enjoy very much because I did not have a second alone to spend in my thoughts, but anyway it was nice knowing the city.

Now I have to finish packing all my things and in the next few days I will say goodbye to all my friends here and return home.

Next time I’ll write here I’ll do it from my comfy sofa!

Take care,

Elizabeth.
